In addition to all the innovations at the Messe we did take the time to submerge in the beautiful archtiectural monuments of the bavarian capital.

We are proud to announce our appointment as façade consultant on the new UCB Pharma campus in Surrey, UK. We are supporting the teams of Heatherwick Studio and Veretec to develop the complex façades on the project.

We are now on the look out for a structural engineer with expert knowledge in facades and specialism in the field found by overlapping architectural, structural and mechanical engineering.

Star of the show at glasstec last October, Vladimir Marinov of Define Engineers takes time to walk us through so we can understand how he managed to do what architects have previously only dreamed of achieving - Overcoming Gravity.

Perhaps the ultimate goal from digitalising the engineering process is to be able to provide project specific platforms which are capable of providing the client/architect with the engineering solution without the need for the engineers.

Shortly before Christmas, our friends over at Merck gave us the gift of dynamic glass. We thoroughly enjoyed installing this 3.05 x 1.20m panel in our studio. We take it as a head start to a smarter and greener decade ahead and beyond.

Define Engineers have been awarded the full facade engineering and building physics scope of work for the complete building envelope of the Meadow Side plots 2&3 project by 5plus architects in Manchester, UK.

Define Engineers were invited to the annual World of Fenestration conference in New Delhi, India where Andrey gave a keynote speech. He spoke about design driven technology and Define’s approach to tackle some of the most challenging design briefs.

We are pleased to announce the joining of our new team member, Geoff Kessel. It’s been two months since Geoff entered the Define family to further grow and strengthen our design and fabrication information work with high-profile contractors.

We are very excited to announce that our team has moved to a new location in East London.

The team at Define rely on state-of-the-art engineering methods to determine the behavior of the 1.5 tonne car pendulum as it swings around, a simulation called Non-linear Transient Dynamic FE analysis.

Two sheets of thin glass elegantly bonded to stainless-steel edge strips are suspended from a tripod structure which holds the swinging car tantalizingly close over a podium.
