Anahad

Burning man 2018, NV, USA

This art installation, which challenges the perception of nature, is called Anahad. The design consists of three individual and freestanding trees, which are connected at the base by stepped wooden podiums. Each tree is 6m high and 14.5m wide at the top. A total of 56 mild steel tubes with a diameter of 38mm compose each tree.  The podiums are hexagonal and measure 5m in diameter and 1m in height. In order to create more stability, the podiums are joined in the middle, creating a platform 10m in diameter. The podiums and the centre of the tree will be light up with LEDs and DMX lights, while the tallest tubes (4 for each tree) will have flames spitting out from the top.

After its successful intro at Burning Man 2018, Anahad installation has been featured at Liverpool's River of Light fireworks display.
