Gravity

Two sheets of thin glass elegantly bonded to stainless-steel edge strips are suspended from a tripod structure which holds the swinging car tantalizingly close over a podium. The glass sheets are 1m x 2.20m, composed of two 2mm heat-strengthened laminated glass panes. This visually and physically light structure without mechanical fixings impresses with its load bearing capacity.

‘Gravity’ is the result of a collaborative process: engineers, architects, fabricators and suppliers pushing the limits of standard applications to demonstrate a highly innovative, efficient and aesthetic design.
